We've all seen the junk mail in our in boxes. We've all experienced the negative impacts a virus one way or the other. But if
everyone took the time to just keep their pc updated there would be a vast improvement on the world wide web. Hackers are
like car thieves. A car thief will look for the easy target. In most cases he's not going to steal the car out of your car garage
with an alarm system on it. Instead the car thief will look for an easy target. If the car is unlocked and outside of house in the
dark the thief will take the easy money.
The same with a hacker. If you have computer and you are running with out any sort of defenses you have made the hacker's
job easier than necessary. People will argue that if someone wants to hack your computer they will. True. But why leave your
windows down and the key in the ignition?
Many people are totally unaware they are contributing to the junk mail that is being sent out by the billions. Their slow
computer is just a slow computer. They don't know why. They think it's just the way it is. Meanwhile everytime they log on to
the internet to check their email their computer is sending out loads of spam.
It's not their fault. They are just not educated and they don't realize how simple it is to protect their computer.
By adding protective software to your computer you will not only improve the performance of your slow computer. You will
make the life of the hacker more difficult. He'll have to find some other computer to infect.
